From Your Sheriff, John Skipper
Thank you for your consideration of the South Carolina Sheriffs Association. You may be wondering what the SCSA actually does and who its members are; I'd like to answer those questions for you.
The SCSA exists to cover my team’s continuing education needs and provide the tremendous support necessary to fight for new crime prevention regulations and citizen safety education not covered by state funding. Its members are the 46 Sheriffs of South Carolina counties, with support from a Citizens' Arm of safety-conscious, crime-fighting honorary members, like you.
Through the efforts of the SCSA, children were rescued or made safer with AmberAlert, Take25, OffenderWatch and our School Resource Officer programs. Neighborhood burglaries have been reduced with CrimeWatch. Thieves and dealers have been discouraged with new Copper Theft, MethWatch, and Bath Salts/K2 laws and regulations. All of this was done with the support of the SCSA.
Join the Citizens' Arm today — you can help us make South Carolina a better, safer place to live.
